22 years old. And already a vision that stands out.

There are producers you discover and immediately know you need to follow.Marlon Bolaños is one of them.

At just22 years old, he is already producing coffees of impressive precision and elegance. We had the chance to spend time with him in Colombia, to discover his vision and better understand his work. Today, we are especially happy to welcome his coffee to our menu.

His washed Gesha is a reflection of him: thoughtful, precise, and without artifice. Delicate notes ofjasmine and rosemeet a sweetness reminiscent ofsugar cane. Why choose: Marlon Gesha - Colombia

In the cup, we find a delicate and profoundly floral expression of the Gesha.

Jasmine appears in the very first aromas, accompanied by an elegant note of rose. The sugar cane provides a natural sweetness that structures the whole without masking the coffee's finesse.

As it cools, the cup gains definition and gradually reveals new nuances. The profile remains clean, elegant, and accessible, with that characteristic floral length that makes Gesha so fascinating.

Why choose Marlon Gesha?

A young producer to watch

At just 22 years old, Marlon Bolaños is already demonstrating a remarkable understanding of his coffee.

What particularly strikes us about his approach is not the pursuit of ever more complex processes. It is rather his ability to understand when to intervene… and when to let the coffee speak.

We were fortunate enough to spend time with Marlon and discover his work up close. This meeting only strengthened our conviction: his name is one to remember.

Being able to present his Gesha today, while he is still at the beginning of his journey, makes this discovery even more special for us.

Simplicity as a form of precision

For this Gesha, Marlon deliberately favors a streamlined approach.

The cherries are first harvested and selected by density before beginning an initial fermentation of two days in cherry. After depulping, the coffee continues its fermentation for two additional days under controlled conditions.

This double fermentation is not intended to transform the character of the coffee. It seeks instead to amplify what is already naturally present: its sweetness, its florality, and the elegance inherent to Gesha.

A pure expression of Gesha

No need for gimmicks here.

Jasmine, rose, and the sweetness of sugar cane create a precise and harmonious cup. The process accompanies the variety rather than taking center stage.

That is exactly what makes this coffee interesting: behind its delicacy hides an already very assertive vision.

A meeting that marks the beginning of a story

At 94 Celcius, we enjoy discovering established producers. But we enjoy just as much meeting those who are still at the start of their exploration.

Marlon is part of that new generation that particularly excites us.

At 22 years old, his journey is only just beginning. And we are proud to be able to share one of his coffees with you right now.

Remember his name. We have a feeling this is only the beginning.
