A sweetness that truly lives up to its name

With Petite Douceur, we are reunited with two producers we particularly admire: Yessica and Diego Parra.

This young Colombian duo represents a new generation that is advancing specialty coffee with curiosity, rigor, and a vision all their own. Heirs to four generations of family expertise, they now create coffees where meticulous craftsmanship gives full expression to the natural character of the bean.

For Petite Douceur, they chose a washed Caturra, an approach that emphasizes clarity, balance, and the authenticity of the terroir.

A coffee that reminds us that innovation does not always mean doing more. Sometimes, it simply means knowing how to reveal what matters most.

Why choose: Small Treat - Colombia

In the cup, Small treat reveals notes of caramel and citrus, with a lingering sweetness.

The caramel brings a rich, rounded quality, while the citrus brightens the profile with delicate freshness. The result is harmonious, with a beautiful aromatic clarity.

A coffee that stands out for its balance rather than its intensity.

Why choose Small Treat?

A new generation evolving Colombian coffee

Yessica and Diego Parra come from a family that has been farming coffee for four generations.

Their story began with their great-grandfather, who discovered that coffee farming could provide a livelihood for his family. Their grandfather continued this journey alongside his wife, who specialized in coffee trading. Together, they became among the first local buyers for the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia.

Today, Yessica and Diego are writing their own chapter.

At El Mirador farm, they combine this family heritage with a more contemporary approach to production. Their ambition: to produce distinctive coffees, expand their knowledge, and showcase the full potential of their terroir.

A simple yet precise fermentation

For Petite Douceur, the duo favors a traditional washed process, carefully managed.

Ripe cherries are harvested and float-sorted before an initial oxidation phase in open tanks. After pulping, the coffee ferments for an additional 24 hours.

It is then washed and sun-dried on drying beds for two to three weeks. When weather conditions require it, mechanical drying is used to complete the process.

Each step is designed to preserve the Caturra's natural sweetness and produce a clean, structured, and balanced cup.

El Mirador: a terroir for exploration

Located at an altitude of 1,750 meters in Huila, El Mirador farm spans seven hectares.

Yessica and Diego grow several varieties there, including Caturra, Pink Bourbon, Bourbon Ají, Papayo, Sidra, and Gesha. This diversity allows them to explore different expressions of coffee and refine their production methods.

Petite Douceur represents a more classic facet of their work: one where technical mastery is used above all to reveal the bean's natural character.

A coffee for life's simple pleasures

Not every coffee needs to surprise with bold fermentations or extravagant profiles.

Sometimes, excellence is found in simplicity.

With its notes of caramel, citrus freshness, and enveloping sweetness, Petite Douceur offers an accessible, refined, and deeply comforting experience.

A coffee you will enjoy discovering again, cup after cup.
