Las Flores - Honduras
Description
Why choose: Las Flores - Honduras
Description
On the palate, Las Flores unfolds in three movements:
- Tangerine, bursting with brightness, offering a lovely freshness to the coffee.
- Cherry, juicy and deep, forms the heart of the profile.
- Red wine, a rich, velvety, almost meditative finish.
The 96-hour anaerobic fermentation brings structure and complexity: concentrated aromas, a round texture, an almost vinous character mastered with precision. Each sip evokes a coffee thought through, refined, contemplated.
Why choose Las Flores?
A vision forged by a return to our roots
Josue Ariel Fúnez is a third-generation producer. After leaving Honduras in search of new opportunities, he chose to return, driven by the conviction that coffee could transform his life.
Today, he is renowned for his remarkably precise micro-lots.
Innovation for the future
Josue has mastered three processes (Natural, Honey, Washed) and sees the specialty as the future of small Honduran producers.
He doesn't hesitate to invest in his infrastructure: new fermentation tanks, areas dedicated to natural batches, equipment to accurately measure the drying rate - an essential step in guaranteeing consistency and excellence.
A coffee that raises a whole family
In 2025, Josue encouraged his siblings, Lila and Néstor, to also enter the specialty coffee market. Together, they are building a shared legacy.
Las Flores is not just a coffee: it's the starting point of a family transformation.
Origin & Territory
Finca Las Flores, nestled at 1650 m in the community of La Peñita, enjoys a microclimate ideal for tropical vegetation and high-altitude coffees.
The mainly Lempira and Anacafe14 plants are grown with organic fertilizers, under shade, and surrounded by nature reserves that Josue voluntarily protects.
His farm produces limited quantities, some of which are Honey, Natural and Washed, each processed with care and precision.
