On August 29, 2024, we had the honor of participating in one of the most exciting competitions on the specialty coffee scene: The Barista League at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) in Montreal. As official espresso partner, Montreal coffee roasters 94 Celcius had the chance to showcase a unique coffee: our Ethiopian washed coffee, Aromélis, a veritable explosion of flavours and subtleties.

The Barista League is like no other competition. With a festive atmosphere, creative challenges and a passionate community, it's an event that celebrates the art of coffee while remaining accessible to all. Baristas from all walks of life come together to share their love of coffee and put their skills to the test, all in a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Our Contribution: Aromélis Ethiopia on the Rancilio Machine

For this edition in Montreal, we had the opportunity to present our Ethiopia Aromélis on the new espresso machine from RancilioThe Rancilio is a jewel of technology that has sublimated the complex aromas of our coffee. With its floral and fruity notes, this coffee shone under the precise and homogeneous extraction of the Rancilio, offering an exceptional espresso experience. This partnership between an exceptional coffee and a top-of-the-range machine impressed baristas and judges alike, making each shot of espresso perfectly balanced.

Working alongside so many talented people in the specialty coffee industry was an incredible experience. The competition was intense, but the spirit of camaraderie was palpable. The Barista League isn't just about competition, it's a true celebration of coffee, bringing professionals and amateurs together around their shared passion.
